Commitment to achieving Net Zero

Twenty Four Seven Nursing is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050.

Baseline Emissions Footprint

Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.

Baseline Year: 2023 This is our current reporting year
Additional Details relating to the Baseline Emissions calculations.
First anniversary of baseline year is 01/09/2024.

Our carbon consultant, Plannet Zero (Redshaw Advisors Ltd) will be assessing our carbon footprint for the second year and will therefore provide you with details relating footprint, offsetting etc in due course

Emissions reduction targets

In order to continue our progress to achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets.

We project that carbon emissions will decrease to 46.78 tCO2e by 2030. This is a reduction of 62%

Progress against these targets can be seen in the graph below:

Carbon Reduction Projects

Completed Carbon Reduction Initiatives

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2021 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equate to 81tCO2e, a 8%ge reduction against the 2021 baseline and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract

We used the following projects to offset our carbon emissions for the base year, in order to achieve carbon neutrality:

Tambopatu-Bahuaja Biodiversity Reserve, Peru

Borusan EnBW Enerji Wind Farm, Turkey

Project Highlights:

591,851 hectares of forest protected

Protected habitat for high conservation value species

373,000tCO2e fossil fuel derived emissions avoided each year

**The above projects verified by VERRA, Gold Standard or UN CDM**

In the future we hope to implement further measures such as:

Upgrading our company vehicles (vans) to fully electric. However, we do not envisage this happening for at least 2/3 years due to infrastructure issues and our business operations, particularly distances travelled and lack of charging points and duration of charging vehicles.

We will continue to be more environmentally aware and continue our pathway to net zero.

**N.B. We have attached reporting for our baseline year. This details our carbon reduction plan over the coming years to 2050**
